About Monica Encina-Romero, LCSW — Bilingual Trauma Therapist & Immigration Evaluations
I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, and supported, especially during life’s most challenging moments.
My work is rooted in compassion, cultural understanding, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.
I know that reaching out for support isn’t always easy, and my goal is to create a space where you can feel safe to begin, at your own pace.
How I Work
I provide trauma-informed therapy that integrates mindfulness, grounding practices, and a holistic approach to healing.
As a bilingual therapist (English and Spanish), I work closely with individuals from diverse and immigrant communities, offering care that is culturally responsive and attuned to your lived experience.
Together, we focus on creating a space where your voice is heard, your experiences are honored, and your healing can unfold in a way that feels right for you.
How I Can Support You
I support individuals navigating:
• Trauma and PTSD
• Anxiety and life transitions
• Pregnancy and pregnancy loss
• Family and relationship challenges
• Immigration-related experiences and evaluations
Whether you’re seeking therapy or need an immigration psychological evaluation, my approach remains grounded in care, clarity, and respect.
Support for Veterans & Life After Service
I have extensive experience working within the VA system, including supporting veterans through housing programs and substance use recovery. This work is deeply meaningful to me, not only professionally, but personally, as my husband is a veteran.
I understand that transitioning back into everyday life can come with unique emotional and psychological challenges. My approach is grounded in respect, compassion, and a deep commitment to helping veterans rebuild, reconnect, and move forward.
